Namen um die es sich handeln sollte:

    Hello,

I could use some help with transcribing the marriage record of my Great-great-aunt Sophia Zaun. Her record is number 381.

She is the sister to Marie Zaun so I imaging column 3 would be very similar in content.

    Thank you,
    Justin

    Hi,

Before I post other items here, is it better to post the whole image like I have been or should I crop out just the row / rows I'm looking for help with? I've also tried uploading the images as attachments but it seems they are to big and fail to upload, should I continue to add the IMG or is just a link to the document preferred?

    Thanks,
    Justin

          Zitat von renatehelene Beitrag anzeigen
          Eisenbahnlokomotivhilfsheizer
What a fabulous word: Eisenbahnlokomotivhilfsheizer = train engine assistent stoker
          Eisenbahnschaffner = train conductor
Weißbinder/ Weißbindermeister = master cooper working with white (pine) wood

            Hi Mr. Zaun,

it is NOT enough to put "gelöst" on your request after someone translated
"your" document; it would be nice to see an answer from you like
" thank you" or "Dankeschön" otherwise you will not find anybody anymore who
will put his or her time into translate the documents.

              Hi and thanks,

Sorry renatehelene, I was doing things out of order and you beat me to it. I wanted to mark it resolved so others wouldn't look at it but had to check my tree before replying. The transcription helps a lot but brings up a question and correction to my tree.

The brides name Lisette Zaun is odd to me, I don't have her in my tree anywhere and the birth date, mother and father match for a person I have as "Sophia Zaun". So I'm a little stumped about the name.

I haven't posted Baptismal record I have for her yet but looking and comparing her name to this document and my lack of skill at reading this old script I think I'm wrong and her name is Lisette. It's a big correction to my tree, these are people who I never met and who the eldest living family members don't remember or never met themselves, the documents are all I have.

              Thank you a lot

              Justin
