We had a cold and rainy summer here and also not a very nice springtime

My Dear, Good Ones in America,
About some 6 weeks ago You, my dear Gertrud, wrote on your nice Birthdays Card „ A letter will follow“.
After 14 days are gone , I wrote a letter on August 16th, meantimes another 4 weeks are gone and
still there´s no sign of life coming from you, my Dear Ones.
Did you completely forget us?
My dear Hans ! For my anniversary you wrote to me all the last years. Should even that be cancelled, since I have been so much awaiting a few lovely lines from you.
We are in the biggest sorrows and have thoughts of all possible kinds what could have happened and the painful incertity is very awful.
I beg You very much, after receiving my lines- if there did not happen anything bad meantimes – if it is possible- to send a nice Twinletter (means to write 2 letters) to me and to the lovely mother

Our home is very cold. We felt very cold, now nearly every day.
How was the weather there ?

How are You, Lovely Good Ones.
How is your health my dear Gertrud and also yours my dear Hans?
We hope and wish all the best for you !
How do you like your new house and how´s about our lovely grandchilds?
Had you, my lovely Hans had your vacancies and have you been during that time in the nice and sunny Florida again or did you stay cozy in your new house ?
Please send us by the way some pics again also from your new house.
Our lovely mother´s condition is a little better even she cannot leave the house after about now 9 months as the doctor recommends.
Her state has been very bad and she has even now to stay in bed most of the time.
It was not possible for me to do all for her and so I had to hire a housmaiden who causes a lot of money .
It will not be a longtime till winter comes again, if it still could be over again.
I will stop my writing to you now and....
