    [gelöst] Surname and occupation please

    Hi

I have attached 3 entries from the Künzelsau baptisms in 1640's of which I think all have the same parents :- Michael and Anna Maria Sei??????

The 1st one is Barbara and the following 2 are sons Michael.
Could some please tell me what they say and if they are indeed the same surname. They are not very good copies; the registers were bad to read.

    Thanks

Just wondered after looking at the 3rd attachment closely weather Michael's surname is something similar to Seig/hebir ? Any ideas?

      Hello Gary,
I'm sorry but the images are very blurred no chance to read anything.
Do you have some better images?

      Best regards
      Dieter

        Hello Dieter
No better copies unfortunately as the actual parish register was blurred itself, I think the ink on the pages must have smudged onto adjacent pages.

may be the second pic sounds so:
Michael, Michael Reifarten Gerichts u HeilgenM u seiner Hausfr Anna Maria ehel Sohn war auß der Tauff gehoben durch Eraßmenen Haigolden

could also be the surname is Neiferten. I think in all three the surname is the same, the occupation seems in the first and thirt the same and in the second is one word more

              Thanks AnMark

I'm presuming Gerichts is something to do with the Court? A Builder and Court Official maybe?

I agree that the surname begins with either 'R' or 'N' any chance it could end in 'ir' ?

Is there is a list of surnames for Künzelsau (phone book/descendants maybe) which may bring other surname possibilities to light?

              Gary
