Yes, very hard reading for my small knowledge of reading German, poor man to die of a stroke at 26 and only married for three years, his wife Luise Neumann is my 3x Great GrandAunt.

The cause of death "Schlagfluss" (stroke) covered a quite broad range of ailments or even accidents. There could - for example - have been a head injury or inner bleeding to the bain. A short time ago, there even was posting about a person who died of "Schlagfluss" caused by a shot to the head: https://forum.ahnenforschung.net/sho...00&postcount=3

Whatever cause, it sure is one of the stories about the oftentimes named 'good old days", that make you think about the hard life conditions in the past.
