Dear genealogists,
Please help me with a complete transcription of the military record of my ancestor's marriage - record number 39 only!
I know more about this marriage from a regular church record, but I am hoping to learn something about his military career from this short record.
The name of ancestor is Anton Ciesielski and his bride is Marianna Guzona.
Anton served in Infanterieregiment Hessen-Philippsburg Nr. 55, also known as Infanterie-regiment Nr. 55. or Füsilier-Regiment Nr. 55.
I learned it from another record where Anton was described (in Latin) as "Miles S.R.M. Prussia e Regimine de Koschenbahr". This is how I found this military record.
Anton could have served in the Infanterie-regiment Nr. 55. in years 1778-1785. Regiment was stationed in Mewe or Stargard (Pommern), very close to his hometown of Barloschno.
I think may be some local town or kreis names that may appear in the record, but I am not sure!
- Schöneck (Kreis Berent) - but maybe it's not a place name?
- Casparus (Kasparus Kreis Preußisch Stargard. Home town of the bride Marianna. There may be an old Polish name "Pustkowy Casparus" writted in the document. In 18th century Polish "Pustkowie" means a very small settlement, just few houses. It was smaller than colony or hamlet.
- Barloschno (Kreis Preußisch Stargard) - home town of Anton Ciesielski.
Please help me with the transcription.
And sorry to ask in English!
Million thanks!
Lucas
