I am seeking help in deciphering the service record of my 5x great grandfather Anton Nehring, who served in k.k. Infanterie Regiment 63 ("Baron Bianchi"):

The upper five rows documenting Anton's background are in clear handwriting, but starting from the sixth row (the one starting with "als..."), I find the handwriting illegible.


Within the field "Nachgefolgte", the note from 1817 is also clear. The note dated 1816 refers to his marriage with Katharina Petz. The notes dated 1826 and 1828 are only partially legible, but the 1828 note presumably refers to his death in Olesko. Finally, also the vertical remark on the right-hand margin is illegible to me.


In short: if possible, I wish to ask for help in finding out the full text of the sixth row from the top, and of the 1826 and 1828 notes in the main body of the document. I should be most grateful for help in deciphering these unclear passages.

maybe I can help you a little bit

The text within the 6th row should be:
"als Gemeiner (should be the military grade) freywillig (freiwillig) gegen 3 ?? (should be the currency) Handgeld. Hat früher bey (bei) Lindenau Inf. (Infanterie) 13 Jahre gedient."

Lindenau Infanterie would indeed be consistent with information from IR63 Musterlisten.

Hat das metallene Armeekreuz.

Beim ersten Buchstaben hat der Schreiber sich m. M. nach verschrieben.

... gegen 9 (should be the currency) Handgeld.
