The place is Bestwin (Bestwina)

And in english is somthing like:

Maria Böhm is the widow of a butcher
Johann Lerchenfeld (still alive) is the real godfatjer of that child; he was not present at the ceremony but has been represented by Maria

Vergleicht man das Schluß-s- von "als" und "fleischers" mit dem Schlußbuchstaben des Artikels nach "Stellvertreterin", könnte man sehr wohl "der" lesen und eine völlig andere Interpretation erhalten.

Da hast du völlig recht Chris...ich hatte auch deR , konnte mir aber keinen Reim drauf machen.

ist jetzt klar, dass Johanna Lerchenfeld, Patin ist und Maria Böhm DEREN Verteterin
