Many thanks to all of you. I will ask in the proper section for reading the document from the 6th Dragoner Regiment.

Also, thanks for the old maps and finding the church book for me.

It is probably for another section/topic, but there is a mystery with Carl and his religion. Here it says he was Lutheran. But when he married the mother of his daughters, both of them were listed as Catholics.

I will try to search in the Church book for Carl's baptism there.

Again, you helped me a lot in my research. Have a great rest of the day

A family VON GÄMMERLER (also written VON GÄMMERLE) lived in Amberg, a city 50 km north of Regensburg

Your ancestor is written "Carl von Gämmerlee" and "Carl von Gamerlay"

                      Sorry for the multiple answers.

Yes, sometimes, it is even written as von Pamerley or the name is Carl Gruber von Gamerley/Pamerley. But once I found Carl's military records, I'm sure it is von Gamerley (or its forms).

In September 1803, it states, that Carl von Gämmerlee is 34 years and 3 month old. That means, he should be born in 1769

That seems to be correct, and more or less, it follows the Gundbuch from my first post.
Here is the record of Carl's marriage. But it makes him younger and catholic.
