war einige Tage verreist, daher erst jetzt eine Antwort.
Vielen Dank für die Hinweise.
Jetzt suche ich noch einen Ansprechpartner in England, der mir
für zumindest einen der aufgeführten Wheelers eine passende
Geburts-, Heirats- oder Sterbeurkunde besorgen oder mir einen
Ansprechpartner vor Ort benennen kann, der mir damit weiterhilft.

ist ja genial. In diese Urkundensammlung schau ich auch schon mal rein.
Aber auf die Idee, hier nach John Wheeler zu suchen, wäre ich nie gekommen.
