Hi everybody,
I'm not very good at writing German so I hope you will be okay with this in English.
My name is Heléne Sofie and I am looking for relatives in Germany! I actually have A LOT of information but no where to look.
My ancestry bloodline is mainly danish, part swedish but a big part of it is also german. In our danish system and old church books (also so called house countings) I found my 3rd great granfather; Friedrich Wilhelm Ernst Göpel, born in Altenburg around 1831. Problem is; there are NO immigration papers on him ever moving to Denmark! He just from one point to another shows up in the danish system (which definitely triggers my curiousity
)
But I can't find anything about him; no siblings. Only thing I've been told is that his parents were named:
Friedrich Carl Christian Göpel
Johanne Sophie Göpel (Born Pheifer)
I have an old letter from 1888 written from an aunt to my 3rd great granfather - her name is Friedrike Göpel and she writes about moving from Altenburg to Ronneburg, so I'm guessing many of them might have lived there too?
Another name I have come is Julius Goebel (i have attached a copy of the letter)

And then I found this piece of paper too with a totally different name on it; the only thing I can read is the name "Ludvig" and "Göpel"
I hope some of You have some time to help me through this and maybe broaden my family bloodline knowledge :-))
Sincerely,
Heléne Sofie
