Brüder geboren in Rendsburg - in Kopenhagen gestorben

Zwei Brüder aus Rendsburg geboren 1793 und 1795 sterben in Kopenhagen 1840 bzw. 1845. Beide sind Schlachter.
Laut der Familiengeschichte sollten beide Soldaten im Heer von Napoleon gewesen sein. Bei Napoleons Kapitulation bei Moskau ist der jüngere Bruder nach Kopenhagen gezogen wo er 1818 heiratete. Der andere soll in Malmö, Schweden geblieben sein, nur es gibt niemanden in Malmö namens Muhly/Muhlig. Leider beginnen die Zugangslisten für die eine Gemeinde Malmös erst 1816. In der anderen Gemeinde (es gab nur zwei Gemeinden damals in Malmö) ist er nicht.
Meine Frage ist jetzt: kann man Musterungsrollen z.B. für Rendsburg finden? Ich meine der jüngere Bruder war ein bisschen zu jung, um Soldat zu werden. Andere Dokumente?

Hi - sorry, my german is a bit rusty, so i reply in english.

I had a look in a register the police ran in Copenhagen, over all the inhabitants, in the period between 1892 and 1923. There is a Henrik Christian Muhlig who worked as a butcher. Could be a son or grandson of either of the two. Thought i would let you know.. :-)

He was born on feb. 17th, 1848 and died on may 16th, 1908. He was married to Maren Cathrine Muhlig who was borned on june 26th 1858.

Thanks. It is a grandson. The lady that I am trying to help has the brothers' descendants in Denmark. Only we haven't been able to trace them before 1818 when the youngest brother was married. Unfortunately there is no Census in Denmark until 1834. They are in FT 1803 for Holsten but after that ?

Thank's Wolfgang. If one have had relatives living in Copenhagen in that period and one is interested in Geneology, it can be of help. I learned that my Grandfather came to Denmark in 1896 from Kiel and moved to Copenhagen from Aalborg in August 1898.

If anyone here finds someone and have problems with the danish let me know - then i can help with the translation. I visit this site often.

And Eva - yes, i know it wasn't the person you were asking about, but maybe you weren't aware of this person, who'm i now know is a grandson.
