Hello all and thank you for having me...

This is my first post, so if I have it in the wrong forum, please forgive me.

I have a few Rosentreter family groups centred around Aschersleben, some to the present day and some back to the 1500's that I am 95% sure fit together but cannot find the records providing the proof!

I have a Johann Andreas Rosentreter *21 Aug 1672 +3 Oct 1740 oo16 Nov 1700 to Margarethe Dorothea Elisabeth Corthym *4 Dec 1682 +15 Oct 1717 all in Aschersleben

My questions relate to their first two sons: 1. Gottfried *9 Feb 1702 & 2. Johann Andreas *3 Aug 1704 both in Aschersleben. I am looking for Death and/or Marriage records for both of them. I can trace them back to the 1500's.

1. I think this Gottfried is either the Father or Grandfather of Traugott David Rosentreter *1767, Aschersleben, oo1791, Ansbach to Johanne Louisa Caroline Rauschard *1774 . Traugott David was a lawyer and advisor to King Frederick William II. Traugott David's father is listed as a Fabricant in his resume.

2. I think this Johann Andreas is the Father or Grandfather of Johann Andreas Wilhelm Rosentreter *abt. 1788 oo5 Jul 1812, Berlin to Anna Maria Louise Berg *abt. 1788 This family I can trace to the current day.

there are many rosentreters in the church books...maybe this is the marriage of gottfried
