Hello, I am looking for help to try and trace my ancestors in Germany. Friedrich (Christian?) Langermann went to the Cape with the VOC in 1773 as a soldier. He is listed as coming from Hildesheim though I believe he may be related to the Mecklenburg Langermann family. I believe he was probably born in 1740s to 1750s. Any help would be very gratefully received as we have been trying to track the link back to Germany for many years.
