Thank you for your suggestion. We believe the family was Protestant, in fact Evangelisch. We cannot even find any civil records or emigration records at all. It's my hope that I can find someone who is related to one of the families (Wessel or Schroeder) who might know more information. We plan to try to come to the area in the next year or so.
