      Hello!

I am the son of Sigrid Heringslake, born 05.March 1936 in Pyrmont as a daughter of
August Heringslake, born 10.12.1902 in Pyrmont, missing since Sept. 1944 in a battle near Narwa, Estland,
and Emmi Heringslake, born 27. May 1905 near Kassel as a Heuer and died 17.03.1964.
The only Heringslake I do know beside my mother is her sister, Astrid Heringslake, born 10.April 1933 who´s still living in Bad Pyrmont.

I know of some oncle of my mother who lived and died in Stockholm, working as a baker. He is buried in the old german cemetery in Gamla Stan (Old Town) in Stockholm. From that time on our family has had some connection to Sweden.

My mother has create a big family tree. Next week I will ask her for a copy of it.

      Where are you living?
Do you have a family tree with the german ancestors?

      Best regards

      Jens Achten

Hello, and sorry for the delay

I am living in Umeå in the north of sweden.

I have not found any living descendants to Friedrich Heinrich Heringslake, his son moved to Germany and his wife and daughters moved to USA.

I found one Karl Wilhelm Heringslake, also a baker, born 1834 19/10 in Bad Pyrmont d. 1920 27/3 in Stockholm, but he is no relative of mine. Could he be the oncle to your grandmother? And/or a brother/relative to Friedrich Heinrich? I know that he had children who lived and died in sweden.

        Best regards

        Fredrik Stråge
