Palm Blum aus Rostock, 17. Jahrhundert

Ich bin Schwedisch, und suche meine Deutsche Ahnen im 17. Jahrhundert. Ich versuchte, aber Ahnenforschung auf Deutsch erklären war viel zu kompliziert für mich, so das schreib ich stattdessen auf Englisch. Ich hoffe das ist okay.
Palm Blum (or whatever spelling) is said to have been a "Bürger und Einwohner in Rostock" in 1645, when his daughter Anna Blom got married in Stockholm's German parish. Anna had a brother in the same parish, Jakob Blom, who I suppose was Palm's child as well. Jakob and Anna were quite likely also brother and sister to my ancestor Maria Blom, same parish, which is why I'm interested in this family. (There might have been a brother Tobias Blom too, but he is said to have been from Spandau, so maybe not). Considering when they had their children, both Anna and Maria must have been born in the 1610s-1620s, so Palm should have been born in the mid-late 1500s.
So I guess what I wonder to start with, is what one could possibly find out about someone like Palm Blum? I have no idea what kind of material (if any?) there is about Rostock in the 17th century, as I've mainly just researched Swedish sources before ... Could anyone please enlighten me?
One thing I've managed to find is that he could (should?) be in this, but I don't know what kind of information is in it ...?
