doesn´t really help: Here: http://adressbuecher.genealogy.net/entry/show/3630739 is another "von Hassenkrug" profession railway station police commisioner, no given name. Laxenburg near Minden 1852.

After 1945 you can get Information from the local residents' registration office

Between 1870 an 1945 it were possible to get Information about the historic registration office:

http://www.landesarchiv-berlin.de/lab-neu/03_04.htm

At first you should contact the civil registry in Berlin an start with this Information. you need a authorization from your wife.

It appears the name changes with translation, it is Hassel Krug who was, we think, Godfather to one of another ancester from Posen.

ich schreibe mal auf deutsch.
Eine Frage ist ob dieser Ferd.(inand) v. HASSENKRUG wirklich adlig war.
Wenn ja, wer hat ihn wo geadelt? Briefadel oder Hochstapler?

Später fehlt das "von" HASSENKRUG.

In Berlin verschwindet er in den Adressbücher von Berlin.
Meist steht bei HASSENKRUG, Particulier.

Zweitens was machte Ferdinand v. HASSENKRUG Rentier in Kolmar Provinz Posen 1849, ist er nur als Taufpate angereist?
Der Vater des Täuflings in Kolmar war nur "Gendarm" in Kolmar.
Die Kinder des Gendarms Peter SCHULZ wurden scheinbar nicht in Kolmar konfirmiert.
cookie vermutet wohl die Familie SCHULZ sei nach England ausgereist. So habe ich ihn verstanden.

Zum nachlesen des Taufeintrags Nr.209 1849 in Kolmar (Chodzien) mit dem Paten Ferd. v. HASSENKRUG, Rentier.

Ob dort nun "v." HASSENKRUG steht, darüber lässt sich streiten, ich denke aber ja.
In der damaligen Provinz Posen kommt weder der FN HASSENKRUG noch HASENKRUG laut Datenbanken vor.

Hi Dave Maestro and Juergen,
Thank you for the responses.
Dave I shall be searching through the links supplied.
Juergen is correct when he states that I was looking for any details of the Schultz family emigrating to England. I cannot find any trace of their arrival on any passenger lists 1840/1860 nor on any naturalisation papers.
I am also confused by the references to Hate Pitcher Jug Hare etc.
I think that I am causing too much difficulty for all who are trying to help, but I do thank all of you.

son of Gutsbesitzer Carl Ferdinand ..... Hassenkrug dec Russia place unknown. and wife Henriette nee Valett dec last place of res. Magdeburg.
and: Maria Bertha Charlotte Henriette Richter, business owner, * Apr 9, 1841, Tannendorf, Crossen. father residing at Teupitz.
