In connection with my genealogical research I am looking for information on my great grandfather Joachim Heinrich Rudolf Schlichting, born March 12, 1881 in Berlin, married with Marie Gertrud Bräter, born September 26, 1883. Most likely in 1911 moved to the Netherlands with their children Gertud Hedwig, born July 1, 1901 and Helene Pauline, born January 25, 1906.

Can someone help me with birth certificates, marriage certificates, names of father, mother, ect.
It is possible to visit a digital archive?

at first you can write to Landesarchiv Berlin to ask for the Meldekarte (census) of Heinrich Rudolf Schlichting. Fill in the form emk_engl and send to given address. So you get get first information about the Schlichting family.

For getting the brith certificate of Heinrich you have to know where his parents were living at this time (address) in Berlin.

The birth certificate of Helene Pauline Schlichting (born 1906) you can get at Standesamt Berlin Mitte. You can write an e-mail to Mrs. Palm

or you send the form BA neu by fax to her. The price is EURO 30,00 for the research and you have to wait about six months for the documents.
