Ernestina Sophia Winterstein Specht - Suche nach Aufzeichnungen - Looking for records

    Hello,

I've been having trouble finding records regarding an ancestor of mine. She was born Ernestina Sophia Winterstein to Andreas Winterstein and Christiana Balzer (supposedly from Cottbus or Berlin) . According to Ernestina's marriage record, she was born August 9, 1815 in Bad Berneck. She had at least 4 illegitimate children, before marrying Johann Heinrich Specht in Selb on June 20, 1858. Her husband Heinrich died March 10, 1897. I can't find any record of Sophia dying before that, and I can't any record of her after that.

I'm searching for records to prove her date of birth, and hopefully date of death. I'd like to know a bit more about her father as well. Any help will be much appreciated. There is a chance she came to the United States and was with her grandchildren near Cincinnati, Ohio, at one point, but that is unsafe.

I will attach her FamilySearch Page. You can find more information connected to her on there.

    Thanks!

    Hello:

There is indeed no baptism for her in Berneck, but there is a baptism for her younger brother Wolfgang, which gives more information on the parents: https://www.archion.de/p/f04f2bdbfe/

Because she had not been baptised in Berneck, a copy of her baptismal certificate had to be provided to the minister before she could be confirmed there. This copy is here: https://www.archion.de/p/f681b93fb3/

According to this copy, Bertha Adelheide Sophia Ernestine had been born 9 August 1815 as the illegitimate child of Johanne Christiane Baltzer and baptised in the church of the "Dorotheenstadt", which then was a district of Berlin. The original baptismal record in this church can be found here: https://www.archion.de/p/ba6e486843/
