Hello, I live in the United States and am searching for the address where my great-grandparents lived in the City of Sigmaringen from 1875-1883. Was hoping someone here could please tell me what resources are out there to do this in terms of historic address books. I am searching for relatives Johann Josef Strobele/Stroebele who was a shoemaker. Also searching for family of Eugen Kromer, Court Bookbinder. I will be traveling to Sigmaringen on July 15th to hopefully see where my great-grandparents lived in Sigmaringen.

sorry, i think there is no adress book online.

But in Sigmaringen is the archive Staatsarchive Sigmaringen located. They have a lot of documents there. Maybe you can visit it to find out what the adress of your great-grandparents was. I suggest you email first and make an appointment.

I found an emigrant from Harthausen. Matthäus Kromer, Chirurg, 1670 to hungary.

Harthausen an der Scheer, Addressbook from 1925, midwife, Rosa Kromer, Andreas, Jakob, Martin, Anton, Hermann, Josef, Alois, Casimir, Paul.

This could be a trace or maybe not.
