    Franz KOPALL marriage

I'm researching about marriage of Franz KOPALL

    Franz Joseph KOPALL
    b. in Chrudim 19 Feb 1776
He died in 1855 in Wien
son of Franz Kopal and Anna Patian

    marriage (uncertain date)

    Sophie Alavoine de Bergue
    B. in Frankfurt/oder in 1780
    d. in Wien in 1857

He was in Znaim in 1808-1813 (Stadtischer Kassier)
He was in Lember between 1814 and 1820
    Verwalter in Znaim in 1827

Perhaps the couple had a daughter married to a certain Koessejewski

I'll search daughters of Kopall-Alavoine in Znaim registers.

There were two different Franz Kopal(l)s, one lived with his wife Klara Eder in the city of Znaim (confirmes until 1812), the other in Galicia (confirmed 1819 , 1820, etc.) and worked in the tobacco administration. The second one - I guess - is yours from Chrudim (born on 19.2.1776 in Chrudim 43; Parents: Kopal Franciscus ... Uxor Maria Anna nata Patiana ambo Liberi).

In the Austrian State Archives (full text search) there is a file from 1804 concerning Franz Kopall, who had something to do with the tobacco administration ("Konduitlisten der Tabak- und Stempelgefällendirektion, Nr. 1-740" - personnel file).

But there is an interesting birth of Arthur Hannibal Kopall on 17.7.1841 in Vienna - parish Meidling.
Father: Franz Kopall, kath. R. Controlor, gebürtig von Lemberg in Galizien
Mother: Sophie Kopall, kath. R. gebürtig von Lemberg in Galizien.
Notes: .... Laut Trauungsschein der Pfarre Kołaczyce im Jasloer Kreise in Galizien allda getraut den 3. November 1813.

        Greetings, Peter

            Hallo Frederico,
your searches, which you ask questions about here, are all a bit strange and difficult.
I mean, married on 3.11.1813 in Kołaczyce/Galizien, the child Arthur Hannibal was born 27 years later?
The parents have the same first names as those in post # 1?

Sofie Kopall, k.k. Beamtens-Witwe died on 8.12.1857 in Wien - Wieden Nr. 294 at the age of 76 years (born ~ 1781), Franz Kopall, k.k. Gefällen-Verwaltungskontrolor died on 11.05.1855 in Wien - Gumpendorf Nr. 396 at the age of 81 years (born ~ 1774). They can be the grand-parents of Arthur.

Many church records from Lemberg/Lviv can be viewed -> in this Polish archive (6 parishes have books from ~ 1785 -> here: Par. Lwów, Bazylika Metropolitalna [-> many nobles and officials], Par. Lwów, parafia św. Andrzeja (Bernardynów), Par. Lwów, parafia św. Anny, Par. Lwów, parafia Bożego Ciała (Dominikanów, d. pl. Dominikański) [-> many nobles and officials], Par. Lwów, parafia św. Marii Magdaleny (d. ul. Sykstuska - dla dzielnicy V). Some parishes wered founded later).

And yes, Henriette Diane Gregor, k.k. Hoff .?.. officials Wittwe Wien Ferdinand Gasse Nr. 665 is named as godmother of Arthur!

            Greetings, Peter

Sorry, I mean that the second Sophia Kopall married Kopall (mother of Arthur) could be Sophia Alavoine's daughter
Maybe Sophia Alavoine married a cousin in 1800/1805 and was mother in 30es of XIX century.

The web-site MTG has many books about Galicia, especially the whole schematisms from 1781 onwards.

I would guess, that the name "Koessejewski" (Koessiejewski?) has (unfortunately) nothing to do with the name "Kocziczka".
In the province of Posen one can - very rarely but still - find the name Kosiejewski (e.g. -> familysearch). The name Kosciewski is quite similar.

                          Thanks
Surname Kosiejewsi is in French document, so I hypothesized that it was an incorrect transcription or simply phonetic
