Name on his uniform cap?

Hello all,

Could anyone kindly tell me the name on my great grandfather's cap in the attached photo? "S. M. S. Ko...." Do you know anything else about his uniform you could tell me? I think the photo was taken sometime around 1915-1918.

Es könnte sich um die "S.M.S. Kolberg" handeln. Sie gehörte im 1. Weltkrieg zu 2.Aufklärungsgruppe der kaiserlichen deutschen Marine.

Thank you jacq and Ullie I appreciate your help. I had no idea my great grandfather was in the Kaiserliche until I came across this picture! I wonder if I can find a list of the crew for that ship somewhere?
