This was my first thought as well, perhaps the priest wanted to write "buried" and made a mistake, but he also writes "Birthday 13th [or 15th?]" and there is a sort of abbreviaton, two letters. Could this be "Jn' for January or "Fe" for February?
But even if he wanted to record the death of the child Matthias born in January, the date of birth does not fit either.
What is obvious is that this Febuary entry is not in line with the others, as if it was added later.
I have come across a note in a register for marriages in Moravia where the recorder writes that he found a scrap of paper in the desk of a locum priest (the priest must have been absent for a while) on which were recorded the names of the couples, witnesses etc., but neither date nor year. So he entered the names at the end of the year in which he found this list.
Something similar might have happened in Melissa's case. An administrative blunder
@ Melissa;
perhaps you should look for marriage and death records for Matthhias Zaun, born to Jost Heinrich and Anna Gertrud Zaun in Rothenditmold in Jan/Feb 1753 and be philosophical about the exact date of his birth?
