Wilhelm Bugenhagen & Albertina Kohl

I can not speak or write in German but I am hoping that someone can answer my questions and help me. I am researching a line of my family which I am unable to trace back any further here in Australia. My ancestor left Prussia and came to Australia his name is Frederich Bugenhagen born 18 October 1845 Berlin Stadt, Brandenburg, Prussia. His father was Wilhelm Bugenhagen born about 1819 Cratler, Kammen, Prussia and his mother was Albertina Kohl born about 1823 Cratler, Kammen, Prussia. I am really hoping someone can help as we are at a complete stop with this line. Thanks.

the problem is, that I don't know "Cratler, Kammen".
Maybe you mean Kartlow, Kreis Cammin?
or Kretlow.

Bugenhagen in district Cammin

Dear all,

The district Cammin in province Pomerania, Prussia is perfectly ftting to the family name Bugenhagen (also: Buggenhagen). There are several hits to find in the web for Bugenhagen in district Cammin - e.g. here.

If town Kartlow (as well: Cartlow) is really the right idea for "Cratler" has to be examined. As an option I would suggest the town Kretlow (as well: Cretlow).

I just see that Herstkind93 has added "Kretlow" as well.
