    Kreuz a. d. Ostbahn

    Dear readers,
First sorry, but my German isn't perfect (actually I can communicate on the lowest level), so let me speak English.

I'm 15 years old citizen of Kreuz a. d. Ostbahn (Krzyż Wielkopolski). How soon we forget the history we make? Good question. So, Kreuz or Krzyż was the city built as a part of Prussian Eastern Railway. I think the history of my city is actually long, but very interesting... the saddest thing, it isn't well known. I want to change it. After years people won't remember about the past of Kreuz and chances to find it out... just zero. So, I started my search. I'm looking for people whose part of families was the old citizens of Kreuz or anybody who know something about past of my city. I'm also really open to give every advice I'm just able to give. So, if anybody is looking for informations about their ancestors who lived or was related with Krzyż, just feel free to e-mail me

My biggest dream is to reconstruction maps of Kreuz with names of streets and shops before WWI, WWII and try to interest contemporary citizen about past of Krzyż. So, let's hope it's possible to do. (I even started my work based on old postcards)

Thanks for all your help! (also sorry for my poor English)

PS I'm also really interesting of the Railway Station. I know it was vibrant and the centre of beginning live in Krzyż...

PS2 If there's anybody who wants to help me with translating the old postcards from Krzyz (German-English or German-Polish), please just contact with me.
