    Such nach Joseph Bailer

Am 15. Januar 1837 wurde Joseph Bailer in Eschenbach/Oberpfalz katholisch getauft.
Seine Eltern waern der Weber Joann Georg Augustus Bailer und Margaretha geb. Kallmeyer.

    Hallo Jettchen,

I see him on a passenger list on Ancestry. He arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, USA 27 May 1867. His last residence is listed as Eschenbach and his occupation is shoemaker. He traveled with:

    Anna (age 36)
    Margarethe (age 9)
    George (age 4)

I will try to learn more about him in the USA.

See Line # 129-132 in attached photo.

    Regards,

    Ellen

I believe I found the Bailer family here in the USA (Maryland) but I have not yet found the definitive "Proof." There seem to be descendants. Part of the problem is because some records are Catholic and have not been made public at this time. Please message me your email if you would like to see what I have found. I have not found the death of Joseph Bailer but I think his wife (Anna) died 11 JUL 1904 in Baltimore, Maryland. I believe the couple had another child born in the USA in 1868 (Katherine Beiler: married Peter Gummer in 1887 and died 1954). The surname here in the USA is often "Beiler." It appears Joseph Bailer married Anna (Obendorfer?) in Germany prior to their 1867 emigration.

      Regards,

      Ellen

        You are great, Ellen!!!
Anna Oberndorfer was the mother of the common child Georg and I'm looking for her, too. But Georg lived in Germany in 1889. Perhaps he went to USA, too?
At the moment I'm in hurry. I send you my e-mail by PM!

        Many, many thanks
        Jettchen
