Aufholz Family Name

Hello,
I'm sorry I can not speak German ..
I have been researching my family history for six years or so.
I am trying to find out about my great great grandfather Julius Aufholz. He was a merchant. He was born around about 1810 in Germany. He came to England Dec 9 1847 possibly to establish his business in England.
He was married to Karolina Pressburger.
Their children were born in Offenbach, Germany:
August, Hugo, Pauline, Charles, Veronica, Albert and Emma. Those that married, were married in Jewish synagogues in London, England.
Hugo Aufholz born in 1839 married, Sara Rothschild from 1847 to 1832 (born Frankfurt, Germany). They were my great grandparents.
My grandfather, Leopold Aufholz, was born in 1874 in London, England.
I was interested to notice another Leopold Aufholz listed in one of your business directories, 1868/69.
Does anyone have any information about the family name?

there is still (or again) a synagogue in Offenbach. I think it could be helpfull to ask the Rabbi for documents or other hints.
