    Need Informational Help

It's been a while since I tried researching my German family side and I can't remember where I can locate certificates from Germany and such. Found a new cousin a couple of months ago and I have her father's birth certificate or at least partial. What I am looking for is, I guess, the other part of the side of the document. I will attach said document and show what I need. I'm also trying to locate his death certificate. He died in 1980.

His name was Raymond Herbert Ralph born 28 Feb 1952 Nürnberg, Nürnberg, Bavaria, Germany and died 2 May 1980 Frankfurt, Frankfurt (Oder), Brandenburg, Germany.

    Zitat von mcnaughton1
and died 2 May 1980 Frankfurt, Frankfurt (Oder), Brandenburg, Germany.

The document says Frankfurt am Main.
Biggest city in Hessia and then part of the FRG.
Falls im Eifer des Gefechts die Anrede mal wieder vergessen gegangen sein sollte, wird sie hiermit mit dem Ausdruck allergrößten Bedauerns in folgender Art und Weise nachgeholt:
    Guten Morgen/Mittag/Tag/Abend. Grüß Gott! Servus.
Gude. Tach. Juten Tach. Hi. Hallo.

    Und zum Schluss:
    Freundliche Grüße.

      Good afternoon, mcnaughton1,
I'm not quite sure what you need help with. Is it the left, the handwritten part of the document? Is it missing? Or can't you just read it? Unfortunately the pic isn't that focused, beside the missing part anyway.

Frankfurt (Oder) is a city located in East Germany, Frankfurt Main in West Germany.

        Hello everyone,

she wants a better copy of the attached document, but she do not know where she can get it.

Quote: "[...] What I am looking for is [...] the other part of the side of the document.[...]".

I guess since the document says: 28 Feb 1952 Nürnberg. She need to ask Standesamt Nürnberg, right?
But since this document is still under data protection law, it won't be easy to get it if she is not a descendant of Raymond Herbert Ralph Kalmus (Son of Emilie Gertrud Kalmus b. 08 September 1907 in Weigelsdorf, Silesia and died 05 Feb 1999 in Nuremberg) unlike the cousin. She first needs the death certificat from Frankfurt Main (2 May 1980).

Quote: "[...]where I can locate certificates from Germany and such?[...]"

Furthermore she needs help finding certificates, genarally.
        @mcnaughton1:
We do not have one specific place to reseach certificates, we have several places (Standesamt, Stadtarchiv, Staatsarchiv, Kreisarchiv, Landesarchiv, Bundesarchiv). It varies a lot - because you need to know where (region) and when (time of the event) it happend.
Where did you get this photo from? It it from your new cousin?

        greetings
        Doro

PS: Als Information für alle Suchenden die Familie Kalmus wurde hier erforscht es geht also nur um das Dokument von Raymond Herbert Ralph.

          mcnaughton1,

you'll find certificates in general at the registry office in charge, i. e. the birth certificate in the town where the birth took place, the death certificate in the town where that person died... you get the point.

You won't be able to get this specific birth certificate, though, since we have certain time limits on certificates. In the case of births it's not earlier than 110 years after the date of birth, unless the person is your lineal ancestor. Your cousin could get her father's birth certificate. Time limits on death certificates are 30 years, so you could get that one, and 80 years on marriage certificates.
