Question about compensation document and letter

Hello. I don't speak German so I'm having some troubling understanding two documents. I'm basing this off of online translations.

I have a document pertaining receiving a pension due to the nazi persecution of Max Anfang, his wife and daughters.
Am I understanding correctly? Is the document addressed to Max Anfang? Does the document say Max Anfang was persecuted or his whole family was? I gather the compensation itself is directed to his whole family, as shown in the piece of paper glued to the document.

Then I have a letter that seems to reference the previous document. The letter seems to be about a different compensation, this one because of lost education opportunities.

Sämtliche persönliche Vorgänge ergeben sich aus den E-Akten meines
Vaters Mäximo Anfang, Reg. Nr, 254 787 des E-Antes Berlin, auf die
ich hiermit Bezug nehme.

The first document says Reg. Nr 254 787 in the top left corner.

I can't understand what the letter is saying in regards to the first document. Is Reg. Nr. 254 787 the number of the document or is it more related to Max Anfang directly? What's the relationship with this new education-related compensation? How come the letter is written in 1957 but the document with the number seems to be emitted in 1962? Is 254 787 the number of the compensation document or the number of the whole case?

Any more info I can get about this will be greatly appreciated.

Bild 1 und 2 ist dasselbe !
Adressiert an H. RA Wilhelm Schwarz als Vertreter der Erbengemeinschaft nach Max Anfang.....über dessen Berliner Kollegen Sonnewald.
Die Registernummer des Bescheides betrifft die Entschädigungsakte des Herrn Max Anfang und bleibt für alle Vorgänge diese Person betreffend nach dem Bundesgesetz zur Entschädigung für Opfer der nationalsozialistischen Verfolgung (BEG) gleich.
Die Entschädigung nach dem BEG wird grds. als Rente gewährt.

Jeder Leistungsempfänger wird unter einer Registernummer geführt (s.o.)
Die BEG Rente wird allerdings mit eventuellen sonstigen Renten (Altersrente)) verrechnet (wie hier gem. Bild 3)

Bild 1= Bild 2 betrifft die (Neu)Berechnung der Altersrente (nicht der BEG-Rente)
vom 1.6.1960 bis 31.7.1961. Vermutlich ist Max im Juli 61 gestorben.
Die Altersrente endet mit Ablauf des Sterbemonats.

Bild 3 betrifft die Verrechnung dieser Altersrente mit der bezahlten Entschädigungsrente nach BEG inHöhe von 219,- DM mtl.
Nach Verrechnung ergab sich ein Restbetrag von 343,-DM der an die Erbengemeinschaft überwiesen wurde.

carta betrifft die Forderung einer der Töchter des Max (Erbin) nach Schadensersatz wegen unterbliebener Ausbildung.
Wer den Antrag gestellt hat ergibt sich aus dem Schreiben nicht.
Der Verweis auf die Reg.Nr. des Max Anfang dient lediglich der zuordnung für die Behörde.

The document has 2 slips of paper glued to it. They work as footnotes, I'm guessing (the document has *) and **)) printed on it, and the slips do too and are glued at the right spot. I was trying to show them but didn't make it clear haha.

Do you know if there's some sort of register I could search for this Registration number?

1 and 2 have the same content. (claims of pension for Max Anfang)

1 is a copy dedicated to the heir Vera Ruth ( a daughter of Max). (Durchschrift für Erben zu b) (=Ruth Vera)

2 is just a copy of 1 for the heir Vera Ruth with all the heirs after Max are single named.(glued on a copy of 1)

Do you know if there's some sort of register I could search for this Registration number?

The register number is the personal number of the entitlements according to
the "Bundesgesetz zur Entschädigung für Opfer der nationalsozialistischen Verfolgung (BEG)"
[German law for compensation of the victims of the Nazi regime] for and only for Max Anfang.
Every person who enrolls a claim for compensation gets a single and personal Reg number.
Under that number are all the docs and papers according Max Anfang (and his heirs as juristical followers in his claims)
Responsible are the authorities of the last residence in Germany, means here BERLIN.
The adress of the Entschädigungsamt Berlin is written on the letters.

I just made a call to the Entschaedigungsbehoerde and the friendly clerk told me that you can write an e-mail in English to apply for necessary documents. Mention the Reg No. Please attach the letters you already scanned.
