Hi all genealogy friends.

For starters I want to excuse to write in english, but I´m danish and my written german is almost catastrophic

On behalf of my niece, I´m looking for information about her late godfather who died short after her christening, even so she´d interested in honouring him.

His name is Gerhard "Tarzan" Oeve(r)mann, born 1942 in Espelkamp, dead after April 1996, buried at Nettelstedt.

I´m trying this, since I don´t know the german way of genealogy.

Hope one or more of you, are able to help me(her closest family) out, in order to surprise her on her 18th birthday next year

I would ask (a email in english) the archive in Espelkamp for "Meldekarten" for the name Oevermann.

In the phonebook I find in Espelkamp only Oevermann, not Oevemann.

so knapp 2,5 Jahre später...........
Falls noch Interesse besteht, könnte ich dabei helfen.
Ich leben in Nettelstedt und meine Großmutter war eine geborene Oevermann (allerdings gibt es hier ganz viele Oevermann"s".........)
