I think you know www.wiewaswie.nl? There is an english version available. If you can find there the dates and the numbers of the certificates (birth/marriage/death), you can go to www.zoekakten.nl . Choose at the top of the page ZL (=Zeeland). On the left you can find DTB (churchbooks until 1796), in the middle the so called "Burgerlijke Stand" and on the left "Bevolkingsregisters" (this is were the families lived, adresses, occupation etc.). You can also try http://www.zeeuwengezocht.nl/en/sear...&mip3=datthijn.
If you need help, don't hesitate to ask, but sometimes it gives more joy to try and find your own ancestors in the old books.

About the ancestors of Andries Jan Ekkebus I got many informations in the last days, but I am stopped with the families Datthijn, de Visser, de Smid (Smidt), mainly because don´t have the church books of the specific period in the city that I am looking for.

In these certificate you van find copies of deathcertificates, military (Willem was 1,64m, had blue eyes and light brown hair), bapt/birthcertificates etc. of the couple Datthijn (married as Datin) and de Smidt.
