Hello Everybody,
I am hoping for your help reading, translating and thoughts about these certs.
I have finally found my Great-Grandfather Johann Lorenz Hermann Luttensee birth cert., but still no father noted. (not noted on marriage or death certs either).
My german is very limited and unable to read mainly the section from "wohnhaft" and "erhalten habe"
Also I found the next entry to be what I assume is a twin brother to my GGF? Who did not live very long.
Is there any hint which may indicate who the father is or occupation.

I'm sorry, but the father of the twins (correct!) is not mentioned, in none of the records.
The twins were born in the poorhouse /workhouse in Moorburg, where the mother, Anna W.M. Willhusen, lived.

I just wanted to add that Anna´s husband Hans Peter Hermann Willhusen, a post man, died Oct 25, 1881 ( 34 yrs 10 mos 2 days).
I assume that both children born 1884 got Anna´s maiden name Luettensee for that reason.

Only chance to get a father´s name is to look at the church book. Maybe there is a hint.

Half sister to your GGF: Gesine Wilhelmine Pauline Lüttensee * 18 Jan 1872 + May 25, 1915, married a Peter Diedrich Holst Aug 5, 1914 in Harburg.
sons: Heinrich L. * 16 Dec 1901 + 17 Apr 1973 Hamburg-Harburg

Hermann Peter Hans L. * 1913 + Sep 5, 1913 Harburg ( 3 mos.)

Alfred August Paul L. * 1897 + May 20, 1897 Harburg ( 1 month)


half brothers:

Willhusen, Johann Hermann Wilhelm (* 31.Jan 1876).-

Willhusen, Peter Hermann Lorenz (* 02.Nov 1877).-

Willhusen, Peter Hermann Wilhelm (* 26.Apr 1881)

there are guardian records at the Staatsarchiv Hamburg for Wilhelmine and her three (half?-)brothers.
