    Vielleicht interessiert den ein oder anderen, was ich noch in Erfahrung habe bringen können. Bis auf Weiteres verschiebt sich leider meiner Besuch in der Bibliothek.
    Ich zitiere aber dazu einmal aus der Mail, die mir der Ersteller der niederländischen Stammfolge geschrieben hat:

    There is a connection between Altenberg and the Rohling family. The grandson of Markus der Altere, Markus der Reiche, was owner of a mine in Altenberg and his grandson Georg was Zehnter in Altenberg. […]
    But as you state correctly Erasmus is the supposed father of Markus der Altere. All generations before Markus are supposed. There is no defenite proof of any connection before Markus der Altere. All is based on assumptions based on age of the named persons, data of when they owned something of worked somewhere and places they were mentioned. This is because in older documents familyrelations were often not mentioned and when they did it is often possible to read it in different ways. […]

    This is why Markus der Altere is mentioned as the sichere Stammvater.

    Perhaps you know of the work of Dr. Wolfgang Lorenz who states that it is more plausible that Asmus is a brother of Laurentius and that they are both sons of an unknown Rohling. In this scenario Markus is a son of Laurentius. This is mentioned in Die Rohling aus Geyer from the Adam-Ries-Bund.
    Letzten Endes ist es also wohl so, wie minhs bereits erwähnt hat: Nachforschungen in dieser Zeit werden immer sehr vage sein, eine definitiv Verbindung nicht beweisbar.
