    Rosenberger from Lichtenau

    Hello
I am looking for Rosenberger family from Lichtenau / Lichkov, Mahren.
I am also looking for Rosenberg/Rosenberger from:
    * Broumov
    * Politz an der Mettau / Police nad Metuji
    * Grafschaft Glatz (Oberhannsdorf)

I would like to make contact with the descendants of the Rosenberger Family and people who are interested in German colonists from Czech and Poland.

    Best Regards
    Michal

    Hi!

Not my names and villages/cities (I have ancestors from Maehren, but different villages/cities), but did you already check the online available matricles?

Especially by using the page genteam.at you can find out where the online links with the data are (genteam.at needs an account, but it is for free use, does not cost any money to use).

Lichkov scans are in the Zamrsk archive for download (Mladkov, older oney in Kraliky, till around Mid 18th century).
Broumov is also found at Zamrsk (till Mid 17th Century).
Politz also at Zamrsk (also till Mid 17th Century).
    Oberhannsdorf I could not find.

If you have problems with the GUI of Zamrsk I can try to help. Basically you can download a PDF with Links to zip files there, and then you download the zip file with the data you need, which contains scans of the churchbooks.

    Best regards,
    Steffen Haeuser

      Hi Michal,

I do have Rosenberg/Rosenberger from Broumov in my family tree.

      My oldest one is
      - Jacob Rosenberg(er) oo 28.10.1657 Märzdorf with Anna Dimter
      - Jacob is the son of Christoph Rosenberg/er and most likely from Barzdorf/Bromouv.

What is your oldest Rosenberg/er in that area? Maybe we can find an overlapping.

      Best regards
      Harald

        Hello
        Thank You for response.

I have already worked out with books from Lichtenau. I have a problem with missing years 1698-1746.

        Dear Harald
My oldest one is Johann Christoph Rosenberger born around 1710. (no birth record, no marriage - still searching in near willages)
I belive Johann Christoph was descendant of Adam Rosenberger who was born around 1600.

All my branch in 17th century were lived in Lichtenau, but my cousin's ancestors were lived in Machov, next to Märzdorf.
He hasn't finished his researches yet.
Did you studied other branches of Rosenberger from nearby?

We made DNA tests and we are sure that our common Rosenberger ancestor lived fev hundreds years ago.

        Best regards
        Michal

          Hello Michal,

Rosenberg(er) is a very common name in the Bromouv area. Actually I do have about 70 Rosenberg(er) in my family records. All were born in the villages in the Bromouv area (1650 - 1800).

          But, I don't have a Johann Christoph (* about 1710) and I don't have an Adam. :-(

          I don't have Rosenberg(er) from Lichtenau, too.

Searching the time before the church book period (before Thirty Years' War) seems to be very diffcult.

As rumor I have heard that the Bromouv Rosenberg(er) could come from the Grafschaft Glatz area. But I don't have any proof.

          Best regards
          Harald

            Hello
I agree that searching before the church books period would be not easy.
Lets try to find an overlapping with branch from Machov.
I will write private message when i get more details.
            Best regards
            Michał

                Hi!

Do you have any other family names in the area? Myselves I have several lines at Niederullersberg (Dolni Borikovice) which is close to Lichtenau. I do not have any Rosenberger's, though I noticed them in the Grulich books when looking for other names.

Myselves I mainly got (in that area) Jentschke, Bergmann, Schwarzer, Ender, Katzer and Neugebauer.

                Thanks in advance.

                Best regards,
                Steffen
