    Hello, friends!!!

I am Marcio Scheibler from Brazil.

I have ancestors from Pommern that emigrated to Brazil in the middle of 19th century and I would like to know if you can help me with some information

    - Johann Friedrich Hermann Sell, born in November 19th, 1847, probably in Nelep (Nielep) city. He was son of Johann Friedrich Sell and Carolina Muller (the mother name can be wrong). He was married with Johanna Guse (unknown parents), born about 1847 in Tempelburg.

    Thanks
Marcio Scheibler - Genealogist and writer

I found Hanna Frederike GUST, in 1845:

Sadly, I don't know the name of parents of my ancestor. So, in the moment is not possible to confirm if the woman in register above is who I am looking for.

She died before April, 1900, in Brazil. In the grave only appear "with 54 years old".

I never found when and where mr. Sell and Johanna Guse married.

Their daughter that is my ancestor of 4th generation, called Henriette Christiana Sell, born in Brazil, in 1868. As mr. Sell born in 1847, I think Henriette was the first. But the marriage is a mystery yet.

In the register that you put above, why the name of C. Guse and Johann Guse appears in the mother column?

                  C. Guse was the unmarried mother of Hanna Christiane.
If the mother was unmarried it was common to write the name of the mother's father in the same column.
The father of Hanna Christiane is unknown.

A godmother of Hanna Christiane was Hanna MEHN married to Johann Christian GUSE (probably he was the oncle of Hanna Christiane).
I found two children of Johann Christian: Wilhelmine Auguste *23.8.1841 and Friedrich Wilhelm *4.3.1845

It is very confused, but I understood

So, we don´t have the Hanna's father, but we have the mother (C. Guse) and the grandfather (Johann Guse).

In the old evangelical books of my city in Brazil, I found the baptism registers of the sons of mr. Sell and Johanna Guse and there appeared Tempelburg like her city

In the moment I can not confirm that Hanna Guse as my ancestor, but the possibility is great.

How I said, in the grave only appears "with 54 years old". There are not birth and death dates. This situation became the search complicated.

You have to find a brazilian death record of 1897 or 1898.
