Christian Wilhelm Dühring / Dorring 1801 in Ventspils Latvia

I am looking for more information about my third time grand father on my mothers side, Christian Wilhelm Dühring / Dorring born 1801 in Ventspils Latvia.

He married Rachel Talette Halvordsdatter Quale in Stavanger Norway 20 November 1823.

The only thing I know about him is his fathers name, it is Sigfred Dühring according to the church books from the wedding with Rachel. And the same church books said he was born in Ventspils Latvia. He is supposed to be lost at sea between Norway and Latvia sometime between 1826-1833. In Stavanger Norway he had two sons.

I have tried ancestry without success.

This guy has always been sort of a mystery in my family, the rumors has it that he is German.

His sister Dorothea Magdalena Gottlieb Döhring was born at 1801, also in Windau/Ventspils.

In the appended birth records there you will find there father Siegfried Döhring and his wife Marie Elisabeth, born Brüggen. It seems the Döhring family were baltic-germans.
