I would like to find data about Johan Georg Henrich Muß, born in Alt Wildungen 1750/1760. He was a military man, he married Louisa Elisabeth Brust, born in Meineringhausen 1750/1760, and they both died in Woerden, the Netherlands. I would like to know the dates of birth and the names of the parents. Can you help me? Sorry, I can't write in German, I'm from Argentina.

El matrimonio de Johann Georg Henrich Muss fue en Meineringhausen el día de diciembre trés 1784. Aquí no hay padres de Johann Georg Heinrich. El padre de Luise Elisabeth Brust fue Johann Jost Brust que fue muerto antes 1784.

Louisa Elisabeth Brust fue bautizado el día enero seis 1758 en Meineringhausen. El padre es Jost Brust pero no madre en este documento.

No he encontrado una entrada para Johann Georg Heinrich Muss en Wildungen, pero tal vez la entrada de una hermana. Bernhardine Wilhelmine Elisabeth Muss, nacido en el día de 21. septiembre 1756. Padre fue Corporal Johann Friedrich Muss y madre Anna Maria Udin (= Ude). Otra hermana Conradina Maria Elisabeth nacido en 15. agosto 1754. Otros hermanos Johannes Christian nacido en 21. enero 1764 y Johann Michael nacido en 8. enero 1766.

Thanks Bernd! In Military Records of the Netherlands (2de Regiment Van Waldeck 1ste Bataljon officieren; onderofficieren, minderen 1783 - 1806) Johann Georg H. Muss claims to be born in Nieder-Wildungen / Alt-Wildungen (estimated year 1750) and he was a corporal in 1785 and a sergeant in 1790.

Johann G. H. Muss (Moes) died in Woerden, Utrecht on April 10, 1826 at the age of 75. His parents are not mentioned on the death certificate.

I don't know the search methods, it's difficult for me to read in German,
so, it would be very helpful for me to find more data about Johann Georg's parents, Johann Friedrich Muss and Anna Maria Ude / Uhde (births / marriage / deaths). Perhaps Johann Georg Henrich was a illegitimate and was baptized with his mother's surname or maybe he was baptized in another city.

Hello Ariel,

I also looked up in the Wildungen church books and found his baptism record - see attached. His parents indicated in the record were "soldier Muss" and Anna Maria Ude. Birth on 6 October 1752, baptism on 9 October.
So the other records found by Bernd were his siblings.

In the churchbook of Wildungen we can find a birthrecord of a girl Anna Maria Ude on 18. February 1730. She is the daugter of Johann Henrich Ude and Anna Elisabeth Dülfer.

The marriage of Johann Henrich Ude and Anna Elisabeth Dülffer was on 11. November 1723. No parents in the record.

since there is a separate register for the Wildungen church books available on Archion here, it is possible to quickly find the marriage of Johann Friedrich Muss and Anna Maria Ude. It took place on 31st July 1753 in Bad Wildungen (entry no. 6 for this year).

I looked so many times and in the registry its not Muss it looks more like Mai and in the record itself you can guess, that its Johann Friedrich Muss.

I attach the record. But I think the correct date is the 5th July.

As for the wife of Johan Georg Henrich Muss, I believe I have found Louisa Elisabeth Brust's mother: Johan Jost Brust (1713-1781) married in Meineringhausen (1743) to Anna Elisabeth Göckel (1717-1789). I think they were both from Meineringhausen. Any information on Brust or Göckel's parents?

The marriage between Jost Brust and Elisabeth Göckel was in Meineringhausen on 8th February 1743, but no parents in the record.

20th December 1789 died in Meineringhausen Anna Elisabetha Brust nee Göckel. Her age was 72 years 4 weeks and about 2 days. Calculated date of birth 20th November 1717. in 1717/1718 no birthrecord found in Meineringhausen. 18th January 1727 birth of Anna Elisabeth Gockel, daughter of Stephan Gockel, no name of the mother.

26th March 1781 died Johann Jost Brust, he was a catholic. Age is difficult to read, maybe 68, but I am not sure. No birthrecords for Brust between 1708 and 1725 in Meineringhausen.

Here I asked, if someone has the familybook of Meineringhausen.

No, the day of her birth is not written in this record. Normally the baptism is about 1 -4 days after the birth, often on sundays.

I am sorry, but in the death register of Wildungen we cannot find any death record with the name Muss.

Kann jemand die Geburt oder die Konfirmation von Johann Friedrich Muß finden um weitere Infos zu erhalten?

1764 war er Captain d'armes in der Armee in Bad Wildungen.
