Anyone that can help identify this wappen and what it is about who etc

    Hallo,

    Attachment

I have a wappen here that I am trying to find the identity of

    Who it belongs too?
    How old is this wappen?
    The area they are from?
    The year of the wappen?
What they can tell me about the charges and meaning,
2 Hollunder x 5 Beeren each , the gold Burg tower with the door open
The tinctures Sangious (Si) Colour (not Purple) and Gold
The 3 Lances with flags on top of the gold/ Sangious mantling and
a helmut that is closed to the side with a half fleur-de-Lis upside down from nose to mouth.
Is there anyone that can help, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

    Basil

Is it registered in any of the heraldry books and which ones?
I cant find it in Siebermacher wappens

    Hello,

What can you tell us about it? Is it in your family archives?

      Hallo,

Found the following blason in Siebmacher bei WW-Person http://ww-person.com/html/wwp/siebmacher.html

According to the blason, the colors are gold (Or) and black (Sable), not Sanguine. Unfortunately, the hit for the name Hollburg at CERL

Hollburg (Hamburg) does not seem to be working, but you can search for the Siebmacher volume listed on the Internet and possibly find another link to it.

      Hope this helps.

        Hallo,

Dank einem Freund, der Mitglied bei Ancestry.com ist, kann ich jetzt mit folgendem dienen.

Mehr war wohl nicht in dem Siebmacher-Band zu finden. Enjoy.

          Hollburg wappen /Holl family

          Hi Kurt,
Thank you for that. Two minds alike as I have been busy as well.
          See attachment Hollburg2. Painted up.
Thank you also for colour change scheme as I have never seen Si for black.

A distant relative Uncle had The Holl family shield done. A company called ARALDIS are they any good with information or are they bad heraldry company. As you can see in Holl 2 and Holl 1. There is the Hollburg family shield. Also Hollburg from Hamburg and not from Isny Allgau. Information seems sceptical. Odd situation This Hollburg wappen is similar to what my father (seen back in the 1940s)described to me when I was young child (Late 1970s).

Any answers on this if possible ???
I am still interested to know what 2 x 5 Elderberries (5Hollunder beeren) , a gold burg tower with the gate opened and the 3 lances with the gold black flag mean and the shields estimated age.
Thank you to all that help
          Kind regards
          Basil

            Hello,

Araldis is a bad fraudulent company! See here (unfortunately only in german)
            Die betrügerische Machart von "Araldis"

Mostly the take the coat of arms of a extinct family with similar name and sell it to the people.

So, I think, this is not your coat of arms!
If you do serious genealogy, you will find it out.

                Hi
It doesn't mean anything. It's just derived from the family name Hollburg.
                Please read this --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canting_arms

"Holl-" = interpreting as Holunder aka Hollerbeeren
"-burg" = German word for castle. Also a synonym for a Bergfried tower. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bergfried

The tincture of the coat of arms on the picture in post #4 (same in post #7) is black aka "sable"; not purple ("purpure").

                  Hi Basil,
We hope you understand that ARALDIS obviously works like a "thief", by "stealing" the Hollburg coat of arms, to sell it as a coat of arms to your Holl family.
