Laut der Hochzeitsurkunde, die ich von einem anderen Ort in Deutschland erhalten habe, wurde meine Großmutter in den 1920er Jahren in Königsberg geboren (ich kenne das Datum und habe es an das "Berliner Standesamt I" geschickt, um die Urkunde anzufordern). Ich weiß bereits, dass es in Königsberg drei verschiedene Standesämter gab, und dass durch die Übermittlung dieser Aufzeichnungen während des Krieges einige Jahre verloren gingen.

Kennt jemand die Aufzeichnungen von Königsberg? Weiß jemand, ob die Geburtsurkunden der 1920er Jahre überlebt haben?

Weiß auch jemand, wie lange "Berlin Standesamt I" dauern wird, um eine Suche nach einer Geburtsurkunde aus den 1920er Jahren durchzuführen?

I hope my guess is correct and you do speak English. From what I remember looking up information for my own family in Königsberg in the 1910s, the availability of records is very fragmented. It might be something like this for a particular year:
Standesamt I: January 1 - March 15, April 23 - May 15, July 7 - July 20, September 1 - September 30, November 15 - December 31
Standesamt II: completely different dates
Standesamt III: completely different dates
(I think there was even a Standesamt IV in Königsberg.)

So you would have to know which Standesamt the birth was registered at, and look it up in the catalogue of available records (= those which survived the war), which I have not yet found online, and might only be available as a printed book.

I do not know the current waiting time for answers from Standesamt I Berlin, but it used to be quite long (I've read 6-9 months somewhere, my own memory is about a year, but all this may change).

Thank you all very much for your help. I won't use Google Translate this time, and I have not spoken German regularly in 17 years.

As my Grandmother's birth still remains a restricted record for access, if it had still existed, it would have still been in Berlin Standesamt I - there would have been a number of years before it qualified to be sent to the Landesarchiv. Which brings me to the reply from Standesamt I.

Instead of waiting a month or two years, I have already received an answer, 11 days after I asked. I received a formal confirmation from Standesamt I that they do not hold the record. The letter that has been issued stating the record cannot be found is specifically noted to be acceptable for official purposes.

Part of my interest in my family's history is because under new rules issued in August, I am eligible to seek citizenship of Germany (my Omi married my Grandfather and had my father before 1953, and Omi never had the option to regain her German citizenship or obtain it for my father), so we shall see what happens when I submit my application.
