Assistance with Ancestory from Trier

I apologize or my inability to post this request in German but I am hopeful that someone receiving this will be able to understand and respond in English. I am looking for information related to Wwe. Johannes Schumacher and Katharina Thiesen Schumacher. Both were both from Trier, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. I know they had 4 children who were Emile Schumacher , Josephine Schumacher , Paula Marrie Schumacher , and Charles Frank Ferdinand Schumacher. Charles is my great-grandfather and was born in Germany in Oct 1864. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You find lists of names of the region Trier there. You also find, that "Trier" is a very wide range.
Do you have any more specifics? Catholic? Protestian? Really from Trier "city" or from the surrounding?
Who of these Ancestors did actually emigrate to the states ?

Were they Catholic or Protestant? Do you have any documents about the birth or christening of your great-grandfather? Do you know until when they lived in Trier?

We have limited information but we believe they were Protestant. I know that Wwe. Johannes died around 23 Jan 1911 in Trier Germany. Unfortunately i do not know if it was Trier "city" or the area.

I also know that Charles Frank Ferdinand was born in Germany Oct 1864. Charles immigrated to the US in 1880 and married Ernestine Verdoodt in Algiers, Louisiana on 19 Mar 1891. I have no information on his siblings therefore i do not know if any of them immigrated to the US.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find an email address for them.

Maybe you can get a copy of the death certificate of Johannes there, and/or a copy of his "Meldekarte" (in Germany, people have to register where they live, and the town archive might still have these old records, which might include information about where he lived before and when and where he was born). The death certificate likely includes the information whether he was Protestant or Catholic. The "Meldekarte" might include this information, as well.

If it wasn't Trier city, but the larger area, I unfortunately don't have a good idea.

Thank you for your assistance. I have sent them an email this evening and i will update you once i have a response. Hopefully we can make some progress. I am anxious to visit the area as soon as i can definitively determine where they originated. Again, Thanks to all for the assistance.

Wwe. Johannes Schumacher

Something what I saw in your ancestry tree:
Wwe. Johannes Schumacher married to Katharina Thiessen.

Note, that Wwe. is the abbreviation of the German word "Witwe", which means Widow.
This means, Wwe. Johannes Schumacher is Mrs. Katharina Schumacher, maiden name Katharina Thiessen. This is one person. This also means that Johannes Schumacher was already dead, when Wwe. Johannes Schumacher (Katharina Thiessen) died in 1911 in Trier.
