    Ellah in Lubeck 1851-1873

    Hello all

Sorry for writing in english, but my german is terrible. My Danish is good though.

Claus Friedrich Plitt was 4th son of Senator Plitt of Lubeck. He married Julie Elisa Ellah from Helsingør. The couple came back to Lubeck after 1840 where they had 5 children, the last in 1851. Claus is still alive in 1873 and I have obtained his address from the 1873 address book for Lubeck where he is described as a widower.

So Julie Elisa Ellah died in Lubeck at some time between 1851 and 1873. It is the date of her death and burial as well as which churchyard she is buried in that I am looking for. Can anyone help me with that or point me in the right direction ?

    Kind Regards
    Gerald

          Well thanks for the info.

I know all about Julie Elisa now since I have also received and collected info from other sources here in Denmark.

But there is still a mystery to be solved in Germany. A mystery about one of the Ellah daughters

This is the basic data on Anna Mathilde Ellah

          1794
          10.October
          Born
          [St.Olai Helsingør - 1762-1798 page 15 - Note - IN ENGLISH] [12]

          1813
          4 December
          Marries Thomas Wright Belfour
          [St. Olai Helsingør - 1743 - 1814 page 316]

          1834
          Census
Anna Mathilde Ellah is living as a widow with her two daughters in a small house in Tikøb - just west of Helsingør.

          1856

Anna Mathilde Ellah is a widow living in an apartment on Fedelhören 14a, Bremen, Germany,. No mention is made of the 2 daughters.

Now the questions to be asked are - When, How and Why did she move to Bremen ? Also there is no mention of her daughters in Bremen. Perhaps they married or perhaps they were just not mentioned.

However, I am now about to close the book on this line of enquiry. My book on the company Belfour, Ellah and Rainals is just about finished and after a little editting will be on its way to my publisher by New Year. So there is no longer any need to research these names.

I do thank you though for the time and energy used on it - I appreciate it.

Hope that you have a happy christmas..!!

          Gerald
