Marie Louise Hoppe Pike, in German it may have been Maria Louisa Hoppe Pike (Pica) brought her son Francis Pike to America during the cholera epidemic when Francis was still a boy. Francis was born December 16, 1779 in Wurttemburg, Germany. His mother Marie was born about 1760 in Germany or Holland. Francis Pike is recorded in a Pennsylvania History Book. He died November 17, 1863, he owned a tailor shop and then became a farmer. This is all we know about him and his Mother before they came to America.
