        Hello,

        Zitat von henrywilh Beitrag anzeigen
Died: Johann Philipp Marx ["6r" is added, but I don't understand that],
perhaps he is the 6th man in the family with this name?

        Little correction:
Son of the deceased carpenter Philipp Conrad Marx and his deceased wife Maria Katharina, born Kinkel von(from) Arnoldshain [sic] in Arnoldshain.

.. I'll do my very best.

Thomas, this is remarkable information! Would you help me more? The Johann Philipp Marx I am searching for was the father of Wilhelm Marx born 1846 in Arnoldshain. Wilhelm's mother was Magdalena Schmidt and she may be the first wife of Johann Philipp. Can you research or refer me to someone?

          My grandmother's family is Marx!
          Regards, Gloria

Confusing is that wife Elizabeth born Kinkel and mother Maria Katharina also born Kinkel. They may have been related in some way.

Confusing to me is, that there is no "thank you". Neither in advance nor afterwards.
Sorry, I'm just honest. Good luck!

                  Hi Gloria,

as Christine already remarked Johann Philipp Marx who died in 1881 is the 6th person with this name. JP the 4th also died in this year but neither is the father of Wilhelm Marx.
In his marriage record of 1876 both parents are noted as "verstorben", i.e. deceased before August, 1876.
In order to obtain more information you have to consult a FamilySearch history center or wait until church books of Arnoldshain are available online (on https://www.archion.de).

                  Regards,
                  Ramanujan
