Hello!
One ancestress of mine, Margareta von Vegesack was the first wife of the Swedish colonel Tomas Gärffelt( Gerwe/Jerwe before being ennobled in 1646). The major work on nobility in Sweden has some information on the von Vegesack family but she isn't listed as a member of the branch introduced in there. Could she have belonged to the Livonian branch? The reason why I suspect that is that Tomas Gärffelt had an estate in Livland, Gärffeltshof and his original surname sounds Latvian/Estonian to me. When it comes to her I only know her date of death, 21st of February 1665. If anyone with access to information on the von Vegesack family could help me I would be truly greatful.
Yours sincerely
Magnus Moding
