Walter Fehse and Edith Hertha (Herta) Crammer (?) immigrating to New Zealand

Hello. I'm a New Zealander with German ancestry.

    My great grandparents are:
Walter Fritz (?) Fehse. He was born 1896 and died in 1980
Edith Hertha (Herta??) Fehse. She was born 1898 and died in 1972. Her maiden name was something like Cramer, Crammer or even Kraemer etc.

They arrived in New Zealand at an unknown date.

They had only one child. Her name was Hertha (Herta?) Maria Brigitta Fehse. Born 1927
She was named Bridget/Brigitta in New Zealand.

I believe I found a record here from Australia??

Walter and Herta are listed as the only people going to New Zealand. As far as I know they never went to Australia.

I want to find some record of their parents and birth area. Thank you

      Dear Dreamer92,
here are the archives, where you can find the birth certification of your grandfather.

You can contact them by this e-mail-adress, they should understand and write in English: stadtarchiv@leipzig.de

But it is better you have at least the exact birth date, because the searching in the archives will cost 20€ (circa 30 New Zealand Dollar) half-hourly and Leipzig was a big city in those days.

      Greetings from Greece,
      Anja
      Viele Grüße, Anja

              Thanks you for your help!
The First World War document seems to be him. Birthdate is correct. I think he was in the war but I can't remember.
Will ask my mum if her grandfather was in the war.

The death certificate for my greatgrandmother is correct. Has my mother's name and her sister's. Amazing you found that! Thanks!

I contacted the register a few hours ago with the birth dates. I've seen two birth years for my greatgrandfather and I'm not sure which one is correct. It's either 1895 or 1896.
I hope they can still help and I don't have to pay.

Is anyone able to find anything else out?

Just found out that Walter had a sister named Toni.
Not sure If her last name was Fehse also. Or if Toni was short for anything.
                  She lived in New York.

Can anyone find any information to connect her to Walter?
                  Thank you very much
