Hallo,

ich habe eine Heiratsanzeige im "The San Francisco Examiner" vom 17.01.1960 gefunden. Sie besagt, dass Robert L. Gadient Joan Ann Kirkeby geheiratet hat. Sie hatten einen Sohn, der am 28.05.1961 in San Francisco geboren wurde. Er wird in der Todesanzeige von Robert L. Gadient nicht erwähnt.

Es handelt sich dabei mit ziemlicher Sicherheit um Robert Ludwig Gadient, am 22.06.1937 in Seattle, Kalifornein, USA geboren und am 07.10.2010 in Island County, Washington, USA gestorben.

Ich wüßte gerne mehr über diese erste Ehe.

Robert L. Gadient heiratete am 04.12.1970 Sylvia Stevens in San Francisco, Kalifornien, USA.

Hallo,

A few things I found on Ancestry:

1. Robert Ludwig Gadient died 7 FEB 2010 (not OCT)
2. His obituary names 4 children - one is Thurston Hanley. I would guess this is the same Thurston J. Gadient who was born 28 MAY 1961, San Francisco, CA. For some reason, he changed his surname.
3. Note that Sabrina M. Gadient was born 19 JUL 1962, San Francisco. But in Robert's 2010 obituary, she is named Sabrina O'Hanleigh.
4. HANLEY and HANLEIGH are names with the same verbal pronunciation. This seems an odd coincidence.
5. Desiree D. Gadient was born 26 MAY 1964, San Francisco.
6. Thurston, Sabrina and Desiree all have Kirkeby as their mother.
7. Joan Ann Kirkeby was born 27 FEB 1939. Father: Lloyd Kirkeby; Mother: Evelyn Austin
8. On 6 DEC 1986, Joan Ann Kirkeby married Michael Herbert Prosser in Albemarle, VA. On this marriage document, she indicates her surname is ZARUCCHI. It states she is divorced from ZARUCCHI and the marriage ended 1 MAY 1986. So she had at least 3 marriages.
9. Thurston Joachim Hanley married Mary Frances Renstrom 23 MAY 1992, Lakewood, Colorado (Joan Ann Prosser was a witness).
10. There are various addresses in different states for Thurston Hanley.

Thanks for your help.
It is interesting that all children, Thurston, Sabrina and Desiree except Etienne have Kirkeby as their mother. I have always thought that Sylvia Stevens was their mother.

Do you think Sylia was Etiennes mother?

Yes, Stevens is the mother of Etienne. I found the birth index record for Etienne R. Gadient. He was born 9 JUNE 1974 in Santa Clara County, California. It only names the mother's surname: Stevens.

I also see some photos of Etienne from yearbook photos. The school is: Bellarmine College Preparatory School. Note that this is the same school Robert Gadient attended, according to his obituary.

There are various addresses for Etienne in different cities in California. In 2020 he had an address in Los Angeles, CA.
