Prussian army research

Hello,
I am interested in finding information on my ancestor who was in the Prussian Army. I know very little about him and want to research about his parents.
Are there online resources available?

Here is the little I know in case this will help with suggestions:
born about 1765
married in Soest Prussia in 1796
died in Siguer France in 1810

The above information is from the death record of his widow.

I appreciate all ideas. Thank you!
Gloria

Gloria,
it would have been helpful to have the scan of your previous post here, too. But anyway, marriage records of Soest, e.g. the military community, can be ordered from FamilySearch.

Regarding the place Siguer:
It is located in southern France at the border to Spain. The historical background is the following:
"Having served in the campaign in Austria in 1809, the 1st Regiment of Nassau was detailed to march to Catalonia (north-eastern Spain) to join Marshal Augereau’s VII Corps.", cited from Chapter 17 of "Digby Smith: Napoleon‘s German Division in Spain, Volume I“, cf.

and the extract in https://www.academia.edu/3092659/Nap...Spain_Volume_1
There is also a Volume II https://www.academia.edu/5587950/Nap...Spain_Volume_2
and a book review: http://www.napoleon-series.org/revie...nDivision.html

Thank you for your excellent information. I will follow up as you suggested.
I am pleased with the progress I have made in research and could not have done so much without the help of this group. My microfilm review continues.

Kind regards,
Gloria

Nice link covering civil registers of the local communites (including Siguen).
Unfortunately, as far as I could see, foreign soldiers killed in action are not listed .
